If winter comes, tell it I’m not here.

Do you have a favourite season? Spring? Summer? Fall? Winter, oh no!

In Simona Ciraolo’s book, “If Winter Comes, Tell It I’m Not Here” the dread of winter’s potential bleakness shines a light to living in the moment.

A little boy loves summer and all the fun that it brings. Until one day his older sister tells him that he had better make the most of it because summer is coming to an end and winter will soon be here. She reminds him that summer will be over, and the dark and dreadful season of winter will be upon them. They’ll be stuck on the sofa for days because it will be dark, cold and snowy out.

But . . . despite his sister’s prediction of a darker season, he discover’s that he can find joy in the changing season and learn to live in the moment. This book is a great reminder for us all to cherish whatever season we are in. Now, head outside and make a snow angel.

Enjoy the day.
