This week I bought a new book bag/tote handmade by Donna at Prairie Lehne right here in Prince Albert. I love the "Be Kind" theme and it reminded me of a book in our school library.
Be Kind is written by Pat Zietlow Miller and illustrated by Jen Hill.
This is a great book to begin a discussion about what it means to be kind. Be Kind gives simple and practical ways of reaching out to others and showing kindness to them. It also reminds us that it is not always easy "and sticking up for someone when other kids aren't kind is really hard. (And really scary.)" I'll be sure to show you where to find this book in the library when we are all together again. Until then, be kind.
